As Chief of Police, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Burgaw Police Department Website.  The Burgaw Police Department is comprised of dedicated professional police officers that are committed to our community.  As a department, we are proud of the spirit of cooperation within

Chief Wayne Briley

Chief Wayne Briley was appointed Chief of the Burgaw Police Department on March 9^th, 1999.  He retired from the North Carolina Division of Alcohol Law Enforcement as the Wilmington area District Supervisor.  Chief Briley’s best-loved hobby is salt water fishing however; he enjoys working in his church, Rotary club, Burgaw fire Department, and spending time with his wife, two children and especially his two grandchildren.
