Since 1936, when Burgaw
had the first organized department, our fore-fathers
sacrificed much to get us to where we are today. They left us
with more than they had and it is our goal to leave the next
generation of firefighters with a Department with more than
what we had, one that is the state-of-the-arts in technology,
one that is proud of its heritage, one that is not afraid of
trying new and inventive ways to improve the lifestyle which
we are all accustom to and enjoy. We strive to live up to our
motto:
