Osgood Canal Greenway and Urban Trail
Osgood Canal Greenway and Urban Trail is a 2.2 mile loop of asphalt and concrete walking trails in and around the central portion of the town limits. The trail follows the Osgood Canal through town and offers walks through wooded areas along the canal, through urban areas in the downtown, connects to the schools located in town and offers the convenience of both passive parks and playground parks along the way. The trail is a great benefit to the health and well-being of those who take advantage of all it has to offer. There are several streets and areas throughout town that access the trail. MAP
Kids Tennis Play Plays
Join us on the third Tuesday of each month for tennis activities, snacks and fun! This is a drop in program from 3pm-4:30pm during the months of August, September, October and November. Ages 5 - 12 are welcome to participate. Some equipment is provided, if you have your own you are encouraged to bring it. Located at Harrell Park 108 E. Ashe Street. Hatha yoga classes are built around the intention to center the mind and body and to increase strength, flexibility, stamina, and balance.
Instructors are certified at the 200hr level or more and offer several options for modifications in order to make this life affirming practice available to everyone.
Yoga class is held Tuesday and Thursday 6pm-7:15pm
Dance2Fit is a rewarding athletic full body workout that combines dance with fitness moves such as squats, lunges, jumping jacks, kicks, football runs, standing ab exercises and more to result in a cardio-blasting, strength-building, lean-muscle generating workout all set to popular hip hop and top 40 dance music. Each song has the same 3 to 4 moves that are repeated in the song, so you will catch on quickly as you continue to come to class! We focus on combining cardio while toning your legs, arms, booty and core in an encouraging environment. The good news is all moves can be modified as needed. Whether you simply want to lose weight, gain muscle or have a healthier lifestyle goals.
Dance2Fit class is held Monday and Wednesday 7pm-8:15pm
All exercise classes are held at the Burgaw Community House located at 102 E. Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425
